The Senior Systems Engineer in the Windows Platform Engineering Group is responsible for overall support, implementation and maintaining standards for Windows Server platform technologies for the Information, Infrastructure and Research Services organization. Candidates must be proficient in Windows Server Operating Systems and related components. In addition, experience with a diverse set of 3rd party tools/applications including, but not limited to backup, monitoring, antivirus, inventory management, deployment tools, and OS patching. Senior Systems Engineers must be able to manage project work, exhibiting strong time and project management skills. We are seeking an individual who can work independently with little to no supervision, can make a contribution to a diverse technical team and wants to grow with new technologies. 



Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities 

" Overall support of the Windows server environment including level 1-3 support and participation in 24x7 on call rotation 
" Server OS installations and upgrades including 3rd party install/configuration, backup/anti-virus 
" Evaluate new technologies relevant to the Windows server platform and supporting infrastructure 
" Translate Business Unit goals and requirements into technical solutions which meet architecture standards 
" Work on virtual teams in a collaborative/consultative fashion
