Responsible for setting up and building the Government / Public Services practice in NA.
The VP- Government, Sales would have a total of 15+ years of experience within the IT Software Services/ Consulting industry of which s/he MUST have at least 10+ years of experience selling IT Software Services and Solutions to the Government (State/ Local/ Federal).
He would be responsible for developing accounts from initial contact, building a sales team, solution development; presentation, negotiation, and closure.
Relationship building, process mapping, sales cycle management and a desire for success are necessary skills in this role. This will also include market specific account development, territory management, and engagement in a market specific leadership through the relevant industry associations and trade groups. You will be working with a small focused team reporting directly to senior management.
Requirements & Experience
• Demonstrated, successful experience in selling IT Software Services within the Public Sector/ Government, with a minimum
of 10 years in experience.
• Superior relationship building and consultative sales abilities with Outstanding presentations, communication, technical and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s Degree or Post-Secondary Education is required
• You must have the flexibility and be able to travel within North America
