• 8+ years experience developing increasingly complex and sophisticated software, of which 3 years were at the senior/architect level
• 5+ years designing and developing software in a WebSphere environment
• 5-7 years experience in core Java and J2EE custom-software development
• Strong Struts, Spring, and Webflow 1/2 and object/relationship modeling experience (Torque, Hibernate, IBATIS, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of Design Patterns, UML, Object Oriented analysis and design
• Experience architecting and documenting complex large scale systems incorporating packaged and custom applications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in a complex application stack.
• Strong experience with configuring WebSphere Edge Server, DynaCache, and WebSphere Content Manager (WCM)
• Experience with JavaScript, including AJAX and JSON (Dojo a plus)
• Experience working with DB2, Tivoli Directory Server and Tivoli Directory Integrator
• Experience with role-based security protocols and integration schemes eg SAML, WS-SECURITY
• Experience with deployment tools such as ANT, wsadmin, xmlaccess etc
• Experience with performance testing automation eg RPT, JUnit
• Experience with UNIX operating system (preferably RedHat Enterprise Linux)
• Working knowledge of Portal Document Manager

Optional but a plus:

• Experience leveraging RESTful APIs in the development of custom portal applications
• Experience or working knowledge of IB M Lotus collaboration tools eg Quickr, Connections
• Brainbench or Sun certified on JAVA platform preferred
• Exposure to other middleware and/or external security manager products (Oracle Identity Manager, Tivoli Directory Server)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and have exceptional writing and communication skills
• Demonstrated a record of managing and maintaining large scale deployments of portal and collaborative solutions
• Ability to work closely with system and network administrators to manage portal and collaborative application deployments
• Willingness to mentor junior resources and other team members
• Ability to operate effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Must be passionate about The Organization’s mission

Academic Qualifications:

• At least a four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field

3 to 5 years of experience in software QA/testing.
Extensive experience working with FIX protocol (can understand messages & fields) is a MUST.
Financial industry experience (Equities, FIX protocol, OMS, Connectivity) is required.
Understanding and some experience with QTP is required
Strong experience in UNIX environments (especially Linux). Must be comfortable using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and identify issues.
Experience working with databases (Oracle, SQL, MySQL).
Very strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills.
Refined proficiency at precise written and verbal communications.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with development tools such as SVN would be a plus.
Knowledge of software build and release management processes such as maintaining QA environment would be a plus.
Some Perl and/or Java programming experience would be a plus.

Salary PLUS bonus

10+ years in a large asset manager/asset servicer/product company. This PM role will be someone who has a good background of corporate actions. Expectations will be to

a. Manage the program

b. Have good reengineering skills to challenge the current state and create a new state.

c. Good communication/relationship skills to speak with the corporate actions teams and understand their challenges.

d. Make suggestions for automations to fit the new workflow that is designed.

e. Ensure budgets are aligned, program work is planned appropriately, works with internal resource managers to ensure program of work is staffed appropriately.

The main concern is the person truly understand corporate actions and have good project mgmt skills.

You may reside anywhere in the USA but must be willing to work in Baltimore during the week
