Education/Knowledge:

Proactive monitoring of enterprise growth, as well as predictive modeling in budgeting are all core to the operational success of the DCO group. Working and operational knowledge of large Mainframe, AS/400, Unix, Tandem, Windows, Cisco environments is a must.

Finally, the DCO General Manager will be accountable for organizational change management to enable the transformation to a service based culture. The Rational Business Systems Analyst will support ongoing production maintenance and phased rollout implementation of its highly customized (IBM/Rational) ClearQuest Change/Defect Tracking System and the analysis for the implementation of the other Rational Products Clear Case, Requisite Pro, Test Manager and Functional Manager.

Responsibilities include the following SDLC functions: functional requirements definition, functional design, testing and implementation.

Working in a functional capacity, the candidate will create and run queries and reports for various teams; collaborate with release teams to provide analysis, design, development and testing guidance and support; streamline implementation and support of project systems; update documentation and improve processes; gather requirements, design, build and test production fixes and enhancements.

Project-Focused responsibilities will include: New Functionality Releases: requirements, analysis and functional design tasks associated with the expansion of the customized ClearQuest System to include new schemas and/or new functionality to existing modules and the implementation of other Rational applications. Existing Functionality: all requirements analysis and functional designs associated with fixes, patches and upgrades to existing ClearQuest functionality as well as production support tasks related to the identification, tracking and resolution of issues found in the production environment. Additionally, the candidate will handle all business communication, support tasks including change and configuration management and the coordination of small development projects. 

Essential Skills

Experience in Systems Analysis; Customizations and implementations of Rational applications; Report development using Crystal Reports; Prioritizing project work and issues for multiple teams; Strong knowledge of Change Management and Configuration Management processes; Experience coordinating or managing small SDLC projects and providing Production Support to Application teams; Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills preferred.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelors' degree in computer science and four years (4)  experience using mainframe, mini- or micro-computer technology in computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing.
