Primarily responsible for client relationships in segment. Substantial time spent on client contact. Effective, sound and consistent underwriting and management of commercial loan risk within assigned team while recognizing need for balanced commitment to Loan/deposits and fee growth, relationship profitability, customer retention and credit quality.

Provide expertise in the market, as a partner of the relationship manager, in debt capital formation solutions. Structuring and Credit Approval: Utilize substantial approval authority (amount sufficient to approve 70% of relationships exposure), to facilitate timely/marketable responses to customer/prospect credit requests that meet overall credit policies/profit goals.
Meet with customer/prospects, gather/analyze information and reach decisions regarding loan approval/structure, including setting appropriate servicing requirements and determining accurate risk rating. Responsible for underwriting and structuring wholesale credit to meet client and bank needs. Direct assigned Risk Servicing Analysts in information needs/analysis of risk in loan requests. Use credit analysis and capital formation expertise and sound business judgment to structure debt capital for meeting client needs. Once decision is made, coordinates team activities re: documentation/closing/booking and timely package completion. Responsible for quality of loan package/accuracy of CATools tracking fields. Partners with Business Credit Solutions (BCS), Commercial Strategies, Strategic Advisory Group, and other delivery channels to provide best client solution.

Partners with Sales Managers and Relationship Managers to achieve segment's goals, to communicate risk parameters for new deals to be considered in decision process, to identify/cultivate selected prospects, to coordinate underwriting/closing process. Portfolio Management: Responsible for quality of servicing of most complex and highest risk relationships, on a timely basis. Reviews servicing work completed by Risk Servicing Team on remaining portfolio. Directs servicing work of Risk Advisors on relationships. Identify deteriorating credits/develop action plans, together with Relationship Managers (RMS)/Special Assets Management (SAM); place credits on Observation List, when appropriate, and elevate level of inspection. Facilitate timely transfer to SAM. Leadership: Actively partners with Sales Teams to support production goals and gain line support for credit quality goals. Leader on deal team. Calls on customers frequently and maintains regular contact with largest/or highest risk customers in assigned portfolio. Maintains feedback loop with customers, as well as sales partners, to monitor quality of customer service and internal partnerships.
Assists in development of field analyst and Risk Services team members. Maintains awareness of areas for personal improvement and sets example by working towards goals in those areas

Candidate Must Have :
* 7 - 10 years experience in commercial banking to include credit analysis/approval. Has utilized significant loan approval authority in prior experience. Expert credit skills-ability to develop, negotiate, document and service loan structures.
