Description: | This position is with an automotive manufacturing organization and will be responsible for the management of the hardware, software, and business applications. The IT Supervisor / Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. Duties: Server Administration Virtual setup & backup Administer Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers Set up FTP servers for transmission and reception of data from other locations and external customers and/or vendors AS/400 administration, troubleshooting and support Register and maintain domain names for web hosts Network Administration Install, configure, and maintain networking devices Manage CAD-based networks and overall systems for Engineering (i.e. license servers, PDM servers, NX and Team Center systems integration) Manage Virtual Private Network (VPN) Provide technical support for local access control security system Configure and install Microsoft Exchange e-Mail solution with perimeter anti-spam and anti-virus filter gateway Provide security protocol set-up and maintenance Data System Integration and backup (onsite and offsite secured) Provide enterprise-wide data systems experience for automotive industry activities (i.e. design, procurement, order management, production scheduling, warehousing, and inventory/shipping with final product invoicing, warranty systems, and dealer support Website Development Manage website development/maintenance Internal Tech Support Hardware standardization and specification for information and cost efficiencies Review, log, prioritize, and dispatch end-user assistance calls Provide end-user support and service, troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for local and remote users Develop and implement standards, procedures, and gudelines for the operation and maintenance of the company ITsystems Perform on-going support services and administration, including configuring and installing new PC’s, laptops, servers, and printers Provide support for various smartphones Provide proactive contributions to business activities where IT can offer efficient solutions Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Qualifications: 4-8+ years of related experience Software integration experience (i.e. Finance, Production & Engineering especially) Systems up-time maintenance processes experience Knowledge and understand of OSI Model, network and TCP/IP, ITIL framework for IT Service Management Ability to work with and understand the IBM iSeries Data Analysis, problem solving and Project Management skills Proficient in standard business software and operating systems Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills AS400 Client Access Avaya Phone System with ODBC connectors Proficient with Facility Access Control Systems Able to travel up to 50% the 1st year of employment Strong, departmental leadership skills Good listening and overall communication skills Persuasiveness Excellent problem-solving capabilities Adaptability Tenacious Ability to Multi-task and manage multiple projects Email resume in Word to JeffAltman@TheBigGameHunter.us.
