Description:
Apply your remote sensing and software development education and experience to help our Software Development team build and deploy technologies in the defense and intelligence communities.
In this role, you will work with software development leads in designing, creating, and engineering software for defense, intelligence, security, military, and other remote sensing users.
This is an exciting opportunity to focus your development skills on imagery, radar, lidar, full motion video (FMV), and other remotely sensed data and information
Responsibilities:
Understand US DoD and intelligence community user requirements and develop appropriate GIS and remote sensing software for various defense and intelligence scenarios
Develop industry-leading software for National Technical Means (NTM) products
Develop industry-leading software in? common defense and intelligence formats such as NITF, TFRD, CIB, and MISB compliant video (FMV)
Develop advanced image processing components, algorithms, and APIs
Develop advanced photogrammetric software components, workflows, and user experiences
Collaborate with software developers to integrate community toolkits and libraries into ArcGIS (AGITK, MSP, etc.)
Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and great user experiences
Requirements:
Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in computer science, geography, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related field, depending on position level
Minimum of five years of C/C++ or advanced C#/.NET software development programming experience
Significant experience with remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, and/or image analysis application development
Minimum of five years of software development experience working on COTS or GOTS software
TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
US citizenship is required because of the nature of obtaining a security clearance at this level and ability plus willingness to maintain a security clearance
Recommended Qualifications:
Experience in the defense and/or intelligence communities
Experience developing using Esri APIs
Experience developing web applications using HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/REST
Familiarity with the NITF format and specification
Familiarity with full motion video and UAVs
Experience using ENVI, Socet GXP, or RemoteView
