Description:    Primary responsibilities of the position include setting technical and operational direction / oversight of Linux and Windows systems engineering, as well as public and private cloud services and the virtualization technologies in use throughout the company. You will provide expertise and technical leadership while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, SMEs, operations teams, customers, and all levels of management to execute on strategic and tactical goals. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
Partner with business and technical teams to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale, well-performing and cost effective infrastructure systems that enable effective utilization and management of enterprise platform and virtualization technologies. 
Ensure compliance with the company's environmental security and trustworthy computing policies. (PCI, SOX). 
Partner with business and technical teams to design, deliver and maintain highly available, high performance, and cost effective systems. 
Public and private cloud services, including Amazon AWS, VMware, and OpenStack-based cloud technologies 
Serve as an escalation point for Operations and Business teams 
Write and contribute to project plans, author engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans. 
Communicate clearly and effectively with our business clients, suppliers and partners. 
Travel as required on a limited basis. 


Position Requirements 
Work Experience and Education: 

BS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent education and experience required (MS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent education and experience preferred) 
Experience working in a complex and large-scale software environment supporting the systems and technologies mentioned above 
Minimum 9 years of experience working with Platform Systems in a mission-critical e-commerce environment (RHEL/CentOS/Windows preferred). 
Design and support experience managing all aspects of Windows and Linux OS lifecycle management in a large enterprise including server build and deployment (Cobbler, KickStart), configuration management (Puppet), monitoring, patching and security. 
Design and support experience managing all aspects of public and private cloud systems, virtualization technologies (XEN and VMware based), including automation and self provisioning capabilities, in an extremely fast paced think-as-you-go environment. 
Strong understanding and working knowledge of IP Networking, web technologies and protocols. understanding of network and server security

Description:    Responsible for owning and driving network strategies to meet the future needs of customers and product teams. Reports to VP Engineering 

Duties and Responsibilities 
Oversees architects performing network design, testing, and troubleshooting of network facilities 
Engages in and encourages out of the box innovative thinking and use of technologies 
Assists in the design and implementation of new products, services, and technologies 
Acts as a liaison between management and engineers for key or urgent issues 
Keeps managers informed of schedules, priorities, and problems 
Supervises activities of staff (i.e. trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary) 
Determines deficiencies in processes and/or procedures and evaluates, proposes and implements solutions 
Collaborates with peers to ensure uniformity of teams 
Ensures proper documentation of all processes and procedures 

Position Requirements 
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field required. At the manager's discretion, additional equivalent experience and relevant technical certifications may substitute for the degree requirement 
Minimum of six years of experience in network operations and/or engineering 
Knowledge/Skills Requirements: 
Advanced knowledge in designing, testing, scaling, troubleshooting, and analyzing network facilities 
A strong background in network engineering and network operations 
Ability to command the intellectual respect of network architects as well as business and product owners 
High level of knowledge of the company's products, network infrastructure and environments 
Knowledge of technologies such as Ethernet, IPv4/6, STP, OSPF, BGP, etc. 
Excellent organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills 
Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions 
Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits creating solutions and results to unexpected situations 
Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups
