JOB SUMMARY: Recommends the development of additional features/capabilities. Designs, manages, and executes project work plans for new business or new implementation. Drives product growth and profitability in the assigned products or states. Typically has responsibility for a single product line (standard auto, nonstandard auto, property or commercial). May have responsibility for multiple states. Negotiates with region(s) regarding product and pricing features. Synchronizes all related functional areas related to product design, pricing, and management. Responsible for the implementation of regulatory and other compliance mandate changes.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
1. Personal Lines Underwriting experience with Automobile, Property and Umbrella products.
2. Personal Lines Product and Pricing experience with Umbrella products.
3. Familiarity with reinsurance process (especially Umbrella reinsurance).
4. Presentation experience.
5. Proven leadership ability.

Education:
Undergraduate studies such as insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration or related field. MBA preferred. Insurance licenses or designations such as CPCU, ACAS, ARM, CLU, FLMI, ChFC, CFP, NASD etc preferred.

Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of analytical tools, core business functions, underwriting policies and best practices, performance measurement techniques, and systems required. Knowledge of related pricing, marketing, insurance models/contracts, and financial analysis necessary.

JOB SUMMARY: Supports the oversight and management of an assigned commercial or personal line product(s) staff function. Develops and/or enhances underwriting products and services Coordinates efforts between home office and field operations. Aids in the development and assists with the implementation of strategies that support multiple product related profitability objectives. Supports assigned state/regional and operations functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience: Typically eight years product related underwriting experience; prefer field management experience.

Skills: Demonstrated decision-making and analysis skills. Ability to communicate with field leadership, staff management and other departments.. Ability to lead project team members in all aspects of product/underwriting activities.

Job Description

We are currently seeking full time software developers to join our group and aid us in expanding and supporting our mortgage business.  As our business expands, new and existing tools and utilities must be built and enhanced to support our trading, research, servicing and accounting departments.

-          Need to be a team player but must have the ability to work independently.

-          Develop and maintain proprietary applications in a high volume production environment for internal customers

Minimum Requirement

Platforms:  HP UNIX, LINUX a plus

Database Systems:

-          Some experience in SQL essential.

-          SYBASE, stored procedures and database programming a plus

Programming Skills:

-         B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field.

-          3+ years of programming experience required in C, PERL, or C#.

Production and Programming support for Credit Derivatives Trading

Production support will be supplied by a team of 4 – 5 people.  This team will be responsible for the following:

1)       Communicating directly with end users (traders, risk management, and middle office) regarding requirements and improvements.

2)       Day-to-day reporting and data requirements.

3)       Managing the nightly report and data generation batches.

4)       Managing enhancements.

5)       Support.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, shell, Perl/database interaction) and databases (oracle, Sybase).  In addition, the candidate should have good architectural and programming skills (LINUX / WINDOWS knowledge and sensible, maintainable code authoring).  C/C++ and Java knowledge will be useful, but are not primary requirements.
