The Senior Development Manager is responsible for development and delivery of Portal Capabilities for the Sales and Trading Institutional Portal: 

§ Responsible for designing and development management of the core services and utility components for the client facing institutional portal for Global Markets & Research 
Responsible for design and implementation of standards, templates, best practices, and guidelines for portal development 
§ Works closely with other business technology group architects and to plan the evolution of the portal 
§ Involved in the analysis, definition, and planning of the future state portal environment for Global Markets 
§ Research and evaluate new technologies and development techniques 
§ Responsible for a team of 20-40 developers 
§ Required Skills (must have skills to be minimally qualified): 
§ Possess a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience within the financial services industry, with most of this time focused on the analysis, design, development, testing, and production support of institutional portals for capital markets divisions (sales, trading, research, and marketing) 
§ Demonstrated technical aptitude for developing systems architecture using a broad range of technologies and methodologies (including dynamic web technologies, RIA, security infrastructure, Java/.NET platforms, DMZ, personalization, CMS, etc …) 

§ Strong Knowledge of JSP, Servlets, J2EE stack, XSLT, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, JQuery, CSS, XHTML, Flash/Flex/AIR/BlazeDS, Silverlight, and JSF/Struts, .NET 2.0,3.0,3.5 (WCF, WWF, WPF) 
§ Solid knowledge of key portal and repository standards (JSR-168, JSR-286, JSR-170, WSRP, etc.) and platforms for Java and Microsoft technologies 
§ Strong knowledge of message-oriented middleware 
§ Strong prioritization skills and execution of multiple tasks is required to be successful in this position 
§ Previous experience with financial services industry at a large financial services firm (capital markets product knowledge strongly desired) 
§ Strong written and communication skills; must be able to multi-task 

§ Desired Skills: 

§ · Deep knowledge in network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations 
· Must have strong experience with distributed infrastructure and runtime technologies for institutional portals 
· Experience with content delivery networks 
· Must have experience integrating public internet facing applications with global considerations 
· Ability to troubleshoot application level design issues for distributed platforms 
· Must have experience supporting large scale relational databases 
· Good working knowledge of utility services (directory, security, storage, load balancing, etc …) 
· Good understanding and experience integrating applications in a large scale production environment 
· Good understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity solutions 
· Good knowledge of network technologies 
· Good understanding of virtualization technologies 
· Good troubleshooting & analytical skills 
· Track record for remaining unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor; and being more interested in results than personal preferences 
· A graduate-level computer science/engineering degree is desirable
