This person needs to have worked in a production environment where there have worked with developers. Someone coming out on an ISP is NOT right. This person will do daily production support and maintenance in the Linux environment. They should be familiar with Tomcat and MySql is a plus. 

You will be responsible for the high availability and total up time of our product operations. This is more than just at the OS level as you will be responsible for maintaining our applications, application servers and other backend systems. 

This is a key role in our server engineering team. You'll be responsible for keeping the existing systems being always available and work with us towards scaling our solution as the business continues to grow. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

We are looking for someone to provide innovative solutions to scale and build rock-solid infrastructure for reliable product operations. Our clients expect us to lead and we work hard to deliver reliable and timely information and a phenomenal end user experience. 

Performance analysis and tuning will also be a significant responsibility in your job - with our large transactional volume, every last bit of performance counts. You should be able to step back and look at a problem in different light to identify an approach that improves performance. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

You studied computer science (or another tech-heavy science/engineering field) in school and can proudly claim that you spent more than your share of late nights bathed in the glow of compiler output. 

You have a track record of large implementations of servers and distributed systems. 

You see problems as opportunities and have what it takes to effectively communicate, brainstorm and collaborate to work through them. 

EXPERIENCE: 

You have worked closely with development teams while also managing production systems. 
Scripting experience in different languages. 
Experience working with custom developed applications (deploy/release/etc) in a SaaS environment 
Expertise in application servers and other backend systems (e.g. MySQL). 
Knowledge and/or experience in cloud based computing.

Successful candidate will act as a solutions architect to help Banking and Financial Services clients in developing and articulating their mobile solution architecture, applications, and platform strategies on a global basis. 

Responsibilities: 
Architect should be able to: 
• Converse freely and clearly with technology architects and senior IT managers at BFS institutions about mobility trends in BFS, clients’ current mobility infrastructure, business priorities on mobility, mobility technology platforms, and mobile application requirements. 
• Develop proposals for device application development and mobility solution architectures. 
o Co-ordinate execution during pre-sales stages using onsite/ offshore delivery models. 
• Work at client site as part of onsite team responsible for application development in implementation projects or solution architecture definition in consulting assessments 
• Collaborate with multiple technology groups within the company as needed. 
Experience: 
Mandatory: 
• 10 years experience in communications or other industries or a combination (sometime in Communications, sometime in other industries) 
• At least 3 to 5 years in developing mobility applications 
• Hands on experience in developing applications on popular devices such as Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Windows mobile, and others. 
Desirable – Experience in developing mobility applications for BFS industry 
Skills & Knowledge: 
Mandatory: 
• Mobility technologies & products (at least some hands on experience in developing/ integrating using mobility products) 
• Current knowledge on device capabilities for leading mobile devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile. 
• Reasonable knowledge and skills in related communications and software/ middleware/ integration technologies commensurate with experience 
• Regional differences in adoption/ deployment of mobility applications across globe (smart Vs non smart phones, protocols, etc.) 
• Excellent communications skills 
• Project management skills for managing client expectations and co-ordination with other teams (onsite/ offshore) 
Desirable: 
• BFS industry, segments and business process knowledge 
• Skills/ knowledge in mobility platforms or applications used within BFS industry (e.g. mobile payments, mobile banking, etc.) 

• Willingness to travel at least 50% in a year (may be spread out or 100% travel for a few months followed by few months of work from home base)
