Job Description :
The Internal Review Consultants will report to the Internal Review Manager and are considered to be the functional experts for compliance issues and knowledge. They will be responsible for managing the execution of review projects including directing staffing, timely deliverables, written and oral reporting and work quality. The consultant will have primary responsibility for developing the review plan for assigned internal review projects and coordinating the work of the team. The internal review consultant will be responsible for analyzing and testing departmental policies, procedures, and processes to assess the control environment. In addition, consultants will be assigned to monitor the resolution of outstanding issues and perform substantive reviews of changes to policy and procedures, committee activities, and implementation plans for new regulatory requirements. 

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates are required to have a minimum of 8 years of financial services experience with a minimum of 4 years brokerage experience. Audit or regulatory examination experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. In addition, candidates are expected to have a broad based understanding of brokerage and to develop subject matter expertise in multiple areas of brokerage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management are required. Proven ability to manage and resolve conflict. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others, initiate action, challenge others, make difficult decisions, and accept challenging assignments required. Candidates should have the ability to adapt to a changing environment and be a team player with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm. Candidates should also have strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced Excel, Access or other similar software. Consultants are required to have NASD Series 7 and 24 securities registration. Advanced degree (MBA) or certification (CPA, CIA, CFP, CFA) is preferred.

Contract Period : 12 + Months 

Role: 
Maintain IMS databases on Mainframe OS/390; PSB & ACB gens. 
Technical interface to Application development teams & other Support groups . 
Will carry up to two pagers Will support numerous IMS environments (production, development, disaster recovery). Responsible for maintaining Corporate and local standards, as well as documenting system changes. Interface with users/project teams on design & technical architecture. 
Will monitor, evaluate, and tune IMS database performance, reliability, availability, capacity, as well as data recovery. 
Must be on-site Memorial Day & Labor Day weekend (Sunday only) to participate in a simulated disaster recovery failover/failback. The simulation takes approximately 16 hours. 


Management Skills: 
10+ in Data Resource Management supporting IMS databases. 
In-depth knowledge of IMS V9 required. DB2 V8 or higher desired. 
IMS Boole & Babbage, IMS DB/DC, DBRC, IRLM & BMC tools, IMS File-Aid, MS DBCTL, Fast Path databases, Relational database constructs, Recons, Change Accum, Bit Mapper, DFSDDLT0. 
Ability to work with little supervision, excellent analytical skills.
