Description:   

HOW DOES GETTING AWAY FROM COLD WEATHER AND LIVING IN SOUTH FLORIDA SOUND?

 

Requirements:

At least 6 years of Linux system Administration experience with Red Hat, SUSE or Ubuntu OS platform

Basic understanding of network technologies

Experience using/managing cloud infrastructure is a MUST

Excellent skills on automated system administration and infrastructure as a code

Experience using configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, etc.

OpenStack administration experience

MySQL administration experience

Excellent scripting/programming skills in at least one of these: Perl, Shell, Python, Ruby

Exposed to advanced deployment and code delivery patterns like Continuous Delivery, Deployment, etc.

 

Responsibilities: 

Setup and administration of common nix services like:

Centralized authentication using NIS, LDAP etc.

Web servers like Apache, Nginx etc.

Load balancers like HAProxy, Pound, etc.

Cloud fabric like Openstack, Eucalyptus, Nebula, etc.

Datbases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

File system Samba, NFS, Gluster, etc.

CM tools like Chef or Puppet

VCS tools like SVN or Git

Monitoring tools like Sensu, Nagios, etc.

Description:   

This is a chance to join a highly respected organization in their beautiful office located in the financial district of Boston.

 

Qualifications:

•       5+ years progressive experience installing and supporting: Windows 7, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, PC deployment, Antivirus management, Remote User Networking, VPN, TCP/IP troubleshooting

•       Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Word) and Microsoft Publisher, and have the ability to teach & troubleshoot

•       Knowledge of Track-It helpdesk software.

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

 

Responsible for ensuring an outstanding level of customer service by providing direct IT support to the user community, to provide fast response times and expert insights into general technical support issues.

•       Network and Help Desk support for 250-300 users. Provide timely and considerate customer service to end users by fielding Help desk calls and resolving technical issues. Assist all office staff, both in person and via the phone.

•       Create user accounts and manage access control based on company policies.

•       Provide suggestions for any noted process improvements and develop the new procedures.

•       Virus/Spyware Removal/Detection.

•       Hardware Problems, Computer Upgrades, Networking Setup/Diagnoses, Software Problems, PC specific Issues/Troubleshooting.
