As a technical architect, you will work with the SVP of Information Technology and other IT managers to craft a strategy for integrating large scale commercial applications for real-time data synchronization. The ideal candidate has a successful track record executing large scale projects utilizing MS Webservices, MS Biztalk or other service oriented implementations. In addition, all candidates should have deep experience in the private equity or capital markets arenas. The candidate should be prepared to develop code hands on at least 50% of the time.
As a member of the IT team, your duties will include:
- Design and development of various investment related applications and reports
- Design and development real-time interfaces between applications
- Provide guidance to more junior developers through code reviews and sharing of best practices
- Develop technical design specification for execution by other members of the development team
- Participate in project meetings to understand application and database requirements
- Provide after hours support as required
- Work with Business Analysts and/or Directly with Users to Gather Specifications
- Interface with the infrastructure team within IT to communicate hardware requirements and coordinate execution.
- Debug and Repair Existing Applications/Reports
- Ability to Provide Creative Solutions Based on Past Experience that may serve the company better
- Develop build scripts for automated unit testing and source code check ins
- Write Post-Development Technical Support Documentation
- Assist with QA in Developing Test Scripts
- Adhere to policies and procedures set out by the department

Experience and Skills Required:
- 7+ years experience .Net developer using SQL2000/2005 environment.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the Investment Management, Private Equity or Hedge Fund environment required
- BS in Computer Science, MCSD certified or equivalent experience
- Experience for investment management firms is required
- Experience in one or more of the following applications is REQUIRED: Advent Geneva, Wall Street Office, Bloomberg Portfolio Order Management System, Portia, Eagle/PACE, CDOSuite
Technical Skills – Required

- VB.NET or C#.NET
- Reporting Services
- VB6
- VBA, VBScript
- Autosys
- Perl
- ETL Tools
- Solid SQL knowledge, including Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Table Design
