The major responsibility for this person in the next 6 months will be to serve as point person to resolve bugs/issues of which there are currently many. In parallel this person will have some development responsibilities. Hopefully in time that person will have more time to develop. If that person works out he will also have a consultant from the outsourced integrator reporting to him/her and further responsibilities.
Since the development of the application is done in India that person will coordinate the resolution of issues remotely but in parallel will try to resolve the problems himself. My expectation from the candidate is that he/she will be bright, able to communicate clearly, formulate a plan to resolve issues and provide status on a continuous basis.
Experience within the financial services industry is a plus and experience with equity plans is a bug plus.
We are looking for a Lead Programmer/Analyst with excellent communication skills needed to support internally an application that is developed offshore. Responsibilities include:
Lead efforts to resolve bugs/issues as they occur
Responsible for source control/installation of changes
Development and enhancement of the application
Technologies:
Java AND SQL is required -
all the other technologies are nice to have or company will train
