Develops the Enterprise Network Data and Voice networks architecture and standards. Works with project teams to understand the customer requirements for voice and data and operates in the capacity of subject mater expert to coach the projects into successful implementations. Understands the business requirements and develops an architecture and roadmap to deliver those requirements. Works with project programs and partners to review and assess requirements and provide guidance and direction.

Within the area of the Enterprise Voice and Data Networks, to analyse, research, and evaluate alternative solutions and serve as a subject matter expert between the business and the IT organisation. Ensures architecture supports the execution of critical business applications and develops high level continuance plans in the event of a lapse in the architectural infrastructure. Technology delivery or governance role which achieves planned objectives critical to the business. Understands current and future business, technology, strategy, customers and competitors. Is a recognised technical expert in the company. Communcates technical ideas. Works on the most complicated technical projects or business issues. Scope will often be across multiple projects or a programme in the Network and Voice areas.

Strong technology background in the areas of Network and Voice. Ten years minimum experience in network architecture dealing with Cisco equipment (e.g. routers, switches), TCP/IP, Cisco Telephony systlems, IP Routing, DNS, WAN/LAN requried.

Able to demonstrate ability to managing and transition team through change
Previous experience managing of leading and managing large projects
Delivery up to Senior Management equivalent level
Degree or equivalent work experience
Strong relationship building skills

1. Solid experience implementing systems based on C++ software for financial institutions minimum experience required 2-3 years.
2. Demonstrated experience in business analysis minimum experience required 2-3 years.
3. Strong experience in dealing directly with clients in a pre-sales and system implementation role.
4. Strong knowledge of financial markets and equity derivatives / Fixed Income products highly desired.
5. Basic system administration, shell scripting and Perl for Unix (Solaris 2.6, 2.7, 2.8).
6. Basic database administration and SQL programming for Sybase (v11.92 and v12.5).
7. Experience in training staff in the implementation, daily use and maintenance of financial systems based on C++/Unix.
8. An understanding of MS Windows 98, NT, 2000 and XP.
9. Programming experience in COM/CORBA.
10. Basic programming skills in Visual Basic.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Engineer initial on-site installation and set-up including batch and data handling and subsequent, on-going, system upgrades of the Trading System to include pilot sites.

2. Maintain database upgrades, system configuration and environment, new releases, patch releases, and system developmental requirements.
3. Troubleshoot client issues and problems via email, telephone and on-site. Must be able to write/review stored procedures; assist clients with trade uploads/downloads.
4. Interface with project managers, developers, Q/A, senior management, and all other client support services to ensure that client implementation requirements are met in a timely fashion.
5. Provide on-site support and training on all systems as required ensuring the smooth implementation of the Trading System, as well as on-going system functionality to include on-site emergency assistance for inter-month releases, etc.
6. Provide technical support to the Sales team during pre-sales meetings, negotiations and set-ups. Provide Business Analysis for new and potential clients to assist in the implementation of both the enterprise trading system and the online Derivatives.com application.
