Support the Product Operations department on a one-year project to launch a new trading system. The person in this role will get a behind-the-scenes view on how contracts are actually created, and how banks, hedge funds, retail and institutional brokers trade. 

Responsibilities to include: 

Creation and Daily Maintenance of accurate product data in the Central Database 
Calculation and subsequent data input of changes resulting from daily stock price movements, corporate actions (mergers, stock splits, dividends), and options expirations 
Daily communication with firms, data vendors, and other industry constituents about new products and product changes 
Creation and Daily Maintenance of trading firms’ accounts, trading permissions, and settings in Central Database and related applications 
Spreadsheet analysis and maintenance of departmental and exchange information 
Additional assignments/tasks as assigned 

Required Skills 
At least 3 years experience as a Data or Business Analyst, relating to trading technology for an exchange, brokerage / financial firm, or market data vendor 
Significant knowledge of options is strongly preferred 
Prior usage of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to validate data is required. 
Self starter/quick learner. The person in this role will be required to learn trading system in order to support the Product Operations department. 
Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment with both external customers and internal colleagues 
Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy 
Excellent communication skills 
BA or BS degree

Responsible for profitably increasing the mining market share that the company holds in the Salt Lake City region. This will be accomplished by a thorough understanding of: the mining industry, mining piping systems, Company's use in those systems, and by utilizing the MBO goals and objectives process, in conjunction with the quality improvement process.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize the Quality Improvement Process to fulfill position responsibilities and improve work processes.

2. Develop and implement a yearly business plan that achieves market, product, and profitability targets through a uniform, account driven MBO process.

The following responsibilities will be the primary components of the Mining Specialist's MBO process:

- The Mining Specialist will target a designated and agreed upon number of accounts. The target accounts will be developed to the fullest degree based on our definition of account ownership and TSS selling. Progress with the target accounts will be measured and reported on monthly.

- The Mining Specialist will target a designated and agreed upon number of engineers/owners. The target engineers/owners will be developed to the fullest degree based on our definition of account ownership and TSS selling. Progress with the target engineers/owners will be measured and reported on monthly.

Complete account development is defined:

Develop relationships with the owner/president or specific decision-makers.

- Understand the account's business strategies and their position in the marketplace.

- Design and implement a strategy to sell the complete line of  products

- Negotiate with the account/distributor, when necessary. Negotiate a package.

- Use Company resources to ensure complete account development (market managers, seismic sales, seminars, product demos, etc.)

- Measure progress with the target accounts on a monthly basis, including priority products.

3. Develop a complete understanding of: Product features, benefits and applications Tools. All requirements of our Sales Force Automation

4. Develop and implement an effective and balanced distribution network. The Mining Specialist will actively participate in the Distributor Development Process including distributor follow-ups on a quarterly basis.

5. Understand the construction cycle and successfully influence decision-makers at all influences (owner, engineer, and contractor) to maximize sales potential.

6. Keep management fully informed of market trends, competition, pricing, and new products.

7. Communicate activities to appropriate personnel within the specialist's geographic area of responsibility (i.e., line sales and regional managers).

8. Fulfill all corporate administrative requirements.

 

Qualifications:

1. College graduate.

2. Previous mining sales experience.

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional image.

4. Must meet the agreed upon travel requirements of the position.

5. Team player.

6. Competitive, flexible, resilient by nature.

7. Knowledge of commercial construction process desirable.
