Description

Qualifications

5 to 10 years IT experience in roles of increasing responsibility.

3 years minimum experience managing the implementation of WMS (warehouse management
systems) software packages.

1 year minimum experience with HighJump programming.

Experienced in full life cycle of software development: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. Solid business analysis experience including requirements gathering, translating requirements into functional specifications. Experience with database structure and design in Oracle; technology architectures including, networks, communications and operating systems.

HighJump WMS or DCA, including Advantage Architect and WebWise, Crystal Reports, and Loftware. ERP knowledge with emphasis on PeopleSoft a plus. Knowledge of Oracle database versions, and PL/SQL skills required.

Manage a team of UNIX and Windows Administrators. The ideal candidate will analyze, design, test and support network systems such as UNIX and Windows Servers through out our national organization, assist with overseeing network functionality and Server security, implement and maintain Server security measures in a SOX driven environment. This person will also evaluate technical performance and assist in delivering target Server uptime of 99.99% in an environment that is serving clients and their business needs. This position requires excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented, clear communication and documentation.

In this role, the individual will be working closely with IT teams within the enterprise including Q/A, development and application. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years experience working with UNIX systems in a large corporate environment.

Responsibilities:
· Daily supervision of system administrators and outside consultants
· Responsible for liaising with project managers and business units to execute new business initiatives
· Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies that align with strategic initiatives
· Effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical staff members
· Provide technical training to staff members;
· Be flexible, have high energy, with the ability to handle multiple demands in a fast pace environment
· Contribute to other key department projects including standards, process improvement, active problem reduction, and metrics
· Identify opportunities and implement solutions to streamline or eliminate manual infrastructure services tasks
· Support systems during non-business hours and perform maintenance during those times when necessary
· Mentor direct reports and provide ongoing staff development

Requirements:
Previous technical supervisory experience required; strong leadership ability needed
Experience installing and supporting Sun Solaris 8/9/10 servers, Linux and Apache
Experience with Perl/ Shell Scripting
Experience implementing and supporting bind/DNS on public servers desired
Unix Sendmail and/or Majordomo experience and knowledge required
Experience with Veritas VFS, Volume Manager and Netbackup required
Experience with MS Windows and Exchange environment required
Experience Supporting Development and Q/A group by deploying code changes to production
Strong knowledge of C desirable
Strong Project management and planning skills are needed
Working in Atex/Peoplesoft Enterprise Application Server environment a plus; experience working with Cold Fusion/ Websphere is also a plus
Must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Up to date SUN UNIX System Administration certification a plus
Publishing experience will be a plus
