The ideal candidate would be having the : 

1. Strong DW delivery background 
2. Strong DW technical background 
3. Experience with Ideally a big 5 or at least large consulting organization 
4. Medium to strong Pharma background 
5. Should have managed P&L/revenue of at least 30-40M 
6. Strong and provable written, oral and presentation skills 
7. Proven ability to interact at executive levels in a customer organization 
8. Should have good BD capabilities – must have worked on RFP and proposal building

Specific Business Knowledge and Experience Required: 

Has superior understanding of asset management principles and skills associated with domestic and international investing and will have excellent software development, leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Fixed income systems and software development experience is required. Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department and business units. Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies. Has advanced written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable into the business units, to make presentations to management and other personnel, and to conduct meetings and training sessions. 

Specific requirements include: 
-Excellent trouble shooting skills 
-5 years of software development experience; client-server concepts, 3 tier architecture concepts preferred and GUI development concepts 
-3 years experience in the design and testing of fixed income applications 
-Ability to investigate and solve production problems 
-Dedication and ability to support systems 
-SQL programming experience 
-Excel spreadsheet knowledge 
-Some exposure to Unix 
-Experience working with Bloomberg 


Responsibilities/Duties: 
§ Responsible for production and development efforts involving portfolio construction tools and systems supporting the fixed income investment process. 
§ Work closely with members of the Fixed Income Portfolio Management Group. 
§ Produces project documentation including formal proposals and schedules, system requirements and testing plans. 
§ Works with business partners and systems personnel to identify new business workflow or change current processes to enhance their effectiveness. 
§ Communicates system changes and processes to appropriate team members, documenting any processes as necessary. 
§ Communicates discrepancies determined in testing to impacted areas and monitors resolution. 
§ Designs and tests systems and/or system changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability. 
§ Sets appropriate goals and priorities that coordinate with the business areas and other organizational units and resources. 

Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements): 

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics or Computer Science

The open role is for a Support Specialist based in New York. 

The Environments team is a global team based in three regions, London, Singapore and New York. The team primarily supports the Derivatives IT Trade Flow department although this role will be to primarily support Derivatives Results Database applications. In addition to this primary responsibility the team provides support to the whole of Derivatives IT for several shared services. 

The team consists of 14 members. London 5 (Including Global Manager), New York 2 and Singapore 7. 

This role is varied but principally involves the following activities; 

 Provision of BAU support for the Trade Flow development teams (consists of ~80 components on various platforms) 
 Manage own project book of work. Projects range from adoption of new technologies to managing DR tests and patching cycles. 
 Manage, in conjunction with project managers, the release of code from UAT to Production. 
 Manage the code release of components from Development to UAT 
 Manage the provision of global development and UAT environments for both internal clients (developers, QA team) and external clients (other systems that hook-up to department resources) 
 Liaise with infrastructure teams where required – across NT administration, Sybase and Oracle DBAs. 
 Work closely with Change Management and Quality Assurance functions on production release cycle, ensuring environments are available and correctly configured for testing. 
 Work on process automation to improve the efficiency of both environment management and release management process. 
 Create and maintain documentation on the environment processes. 
 Continually review "the way we do things" identifying areas where we are able to improve and voice these suggestions in a constructive manner.
