REQUIREMENTS:
 
5+ years of experience in configuration, build, maintenance and implementation.
Must be EPIC Certified in Professional Billing (PB) or Hospital Billing (HB).
 
Competent in supporting the technical, operational and application needs of moderately complex applications or subcomponents of a highly complex application.    Skilled with information collection and troubleshooting root cause of application failures.   
 
Able to utilize and participate in the creation of monitoring tools to evaluate general health of application.   Knowledgeable of application architecture.  Skilled in analyzing diagnostic information predicting future performance and identify issues.   Ability to develop test plans for small to moderately complex applications or individual modules of highly complex application in support of patches, upgrades, and infrastructure and/or desktop configuration changes.    Knowledgeable of database configurations, queries and elements.  Skilled complex problem solver.  Ability to pro-actively identify ways to enhance or improve programs, processes and systems.

IT Site Support
Specialist – Dallas Office
 
 
The client designs, manufactures, and markets web-based surveillance solutions with thousands of customer sites in more than 80 countries around the world.   In 2013, they were the fastest growing company in Canada on the PROFIT 500.  The previous year saw them named the Fastest Growing Software Company in North America for the second year in a row. Reporting to the Manager IT Infrastructure, this experienced, highly qualified and capable full time IT Site Support Specialist will work in their Dallas  worldwide Sales Headquarters.  As a key member of the IT organization, this role will be responsible and accountable for representing IT on-site and for provisioning key IT site services and support, coordinating and communicating in a collaborative fashion with IT staff and leadership based in their Vancouver Canada Corporate Head Office.  This role will ensure timely visibility and resolution of site IT issues and overall be accountable for ensuing proactive, effective and efficient IT site operations.  This includes provisioning  high quality IT support service in support of business stakeholder IT needs.   At times this role will also be called upon to complete IT tasks, services and support not
directly related to the Dallas site.
 
Responsibiities:·       
IT support and services for the Dallas Office;  Non-Dallas IT support and services (as
required)   
Helpdesk services and support
Desktop / laptop services and support  
Printer and wireless services and support
Voice, telephony, video conferencing services and support;  Administration of a unified
communications (UC) environment in a global multi-site deployment including
VoIP / Video Conferencing / Chat ·       
Email / Exchange support  
Administration of Microsoft Domain Services (including Active Directory)       
VPN / remote connectivity services and support      
On-site data back-up and restoration services and
support (as required)   
On-site SharePoint administration support  
Disaster recovery planning and testing
IT asset tracking and management
Server management services and support
Network implementation, configuration and security support services
Serve as initial point of contact and provide on-site support for Dallas IT issues;
 
Ensure effective and accurate tracking and logging of Dallas IT support related issues;
 
Provide effective desktop and help ndesk support across the scope of the role;
Help verify and ensure existing Dallas infrastructure is supporting business requirements;
Serve as tiered support for high-severity and business impacting site IT issues;
Proactively identify and effectively communicate and package systemic IT related issues and problems requiring root cause analysis and solutioning;
Provide effective and timely root cause analysis and resolution of systemic IT related issues in coordination with other IT team members;
 
Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing;
Assist with IT asset tracking and management;
Assist with administration of Microsoft Domain Services (including Active Directory);
Serve as onsite contact point for vendors, service providers, installers;  Assist with installations as required
Proactively identify and mitigate IT related issues that would
impact Dallas business operations;
Maintain regular and effective engagement with Dallas business stakeholder groups as well as Vancouver based IT team members;
Coordinate with IT leadership to ensure work priorities align with governance, business and IT priorities; Make effective proactive value add recommendations followed up by
action that result in positive concrete results contributing to Dallas stakeholder and IT success; Provide regular written status updates and presentations around same
 
WHAT THEY WANT:
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience successfully provisioning IT services and support for site of 25-50 staff
In-depth experience with broad scope of IT domain areas and technologies;  A
highly effective hands-on practitioner with clear track record of successful delivery, service and support  Enterprise level experience supporting a 99.999% high availability operating environment
 
Experience administering MS Windows Server including AD/Print Server/File Server/DNS, MS Exchange  Experience with enterprise / carrier-class routers, firewalls and switches (Cisco preferred)  Microsoft certified (Cisco, ITIL and Security certifications will be considered an asset) Knowledge of SQL Server or database administration would be an asset Experience working in a manufacturing organization would be an asset
Some travel may be required.
