Treasury Analyst NYC SRAJA3 to $75000

Reporting to the Manager, Global Treasury Services, the Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for the daily management of the company’s bank accounts and collected balance positions, short-term investment portfolio and/or credit lines outstanding, various treasury reporting functions and analyses, and will be the primary interface with Corporate Office and Business Unit Accounting staffs to ensure the proper recording of cash transactions. This individual will also support Treasury’s insurance and risk management activities.

Specific duties include:

• cash control and cash mobilization for all transactional activity;
• banking relations;
  maintenance of electronic funds transfer
• linecodes and authorizations;
  assist on letter of credit issuance and
• documentation discrepancy reviews;
  preparation of month-end treasury management
• reports and follow-up analysis;
  assist in the preparation of cash flow and
• capital structure projections;
  facilitate the issuance of Certificates of Insurance, as required;
• support the data collection efforts related to insurance policy renewals and negotiations;
• prepare month-end and quarterly insurance accruals.

The individual should have hands-on cash management/treasury operations experience in a professional business environment. Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree required. MBA highly desirable.
• Minimum experience of 4-5 years.
• CCM certification a big plus.
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills with solid broad business judgment.
• Candidate should be comfortable and effective in dealing with senior management, operating management, and external contacts such as bankers and insurance intermediaries.
• Candidate who is an effective manager of both time and resources.
• Capable of dealing with multi-faceted tasks and changing priorities.
• Highly organized and effective in the management of time and resources.
• Must also have an even temperament and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management in the corporate office and field locations.

            Insurance Accounting

 

·                     Process & Review Direct Accounts received from MGAs

·                     Work with MGA & Broker on an operational basis to address problems

·                     Handle and resolve questions arising from account and cash

·                     Monthly reconciliation by caption

·                     Work with IT Department to reconcile programs that do not correspond with accounts

·                     Utilize knowledge of MGA contract wording and monitor compliance

·                     Review specific reinsurance accounts monthly and/or quarterly as required by agreement

·                     Interacts with Claims Department to ensure that all claims in reference to specific MGAs are processed and reconciled.

 

Cash and Suspense Application

 

·                     Application of Cash Receipts and Cash Disbursements in the G/L system

·                     Process payment requests and special cash call settlements

·                     Review suspense items in the system

·                     Cash reconciliation between claims, accounting and paid loss received from MGA

 

Account Analysis and Reporting

 

·                     Prepare a monthly aging report to be sent to MGA for overdue cash

·                     Prepare Annual Statement Schedule F, Schedule P & Pg. 15

·                     Determine Letter of Credit requirements and coordinate with brokers & MGA

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Working closely with existing technical and testing teams, developing the automated testing tool strategy.
