User Interface Developer

Description: · Experience in using Html, CSS, JavaScript, JSPs, Servlets, Ajax, Flash and Java Beans …comfortable using standard tools to accomplish tasks using the above skills (e.g. tools for development/coding and debugging). 
· Should be comfortable with the MVC architecture and would have used web frameworks like Struts and others (e.g. Spring etc.). Should be comfortable writing web tier Java classes 
· Knowledge/understanding of Scrum or any other agile methodology is highly desirable 

Core Skills: 
· Good interpersonal communication and friendly disposition. 
· Needs to interact with counterparts and other counterparts/team members offshore on a frequent basis. 
· Should be able to demonstrate expertise in formal written and spoken English communication. 
· Should demonstrate eagerness to learn new skills (e.g. new frameworks and technologies in this space) and should be able to pick up such skills, relatively quickly, if required. 
· Should have knowledge of bleeding-edge/emerging technologies in his area of specialization

Description: Are you an experienced desktop support person who loves technology, has a thick skin and would like to get into a hedge fund? 

My client is the midtown office of an international hedge fund. It is a demanding environment with people who need things done FAST! You will support about 45 people (growing to 50 by end of year) and need to have good desktop support underpinnings (their a Win 7/64 bit environment with some 2010). They train you with market data feeds (any experience with Bloomberg or Reuters is a plus). You need light Active Directory experience (create a group or an Exchange mailbox). Any Cisco VOIP experience is a plus 

What is most important is solid desktop support experience, the willingness to do whatever is necessary, take direction and a hunger to learn. They will consider a recent college grad who has good technical skills and the personality attributes I described
