·         We are looking for candidates with financial industry background-options knowledge a definite strong plus

 Business Analyst to join our Product Management team. The qualified individual will be responsible for acting as an interface between our Options business unit and the platform development and implementation areas. They will also be involved in creating and assembling detailed business requirement specifications for new products/applications and product/application enhancements.

 

 

Responsibilities to include:

 

·   Participate in identifying user requirements by working on teams with a number of key individuals representing business and technology

·   Document, communicate, and review requirements with product and project team members and sponsors

·   Identify and document the impact of the requirements on existing systems and data

·   Manage deadlines and work to meet feature requirements and customer expectations

·   Assist in developing of testing plans, scenarios and scripts and participate in user acceptance testing

·   Assemble, complete and distribute updates to key documents for developers, testers, change management and our customers

 

Required Experience

Experience Required:

 

  • Must have previous experience writing business requirements and training materials
  • Must be familiar with formal requirements gathering and management process
  • Working knowledge of system design, architecture and application programming/analysis
  • In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Strong knowledge of equity or derivatives products, market data feeds, trade lifecycle and post-trade processing
  • Understanding of the FIX financial messaging protocol a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Engineering, Math, or Economics with a minimum 5-7 years of IT business analysis experience
  • Previous experience in equity or derivatives trading technology for an exchange or brokerage/financial firm is preferable

  • Able to handle dynamic trading environment and prioritization of projects/issues among a large client base
  • Accurate and thorough requirements analysis

SR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST -160K
Job Description:  We are seeking a Technical Analyst who will oversee medium to large system development projects from inception to post-implementation. The candidate  will own the application installation and support from a technology perspective (including system requirements, configuration and deployment). Interface with supporting technology groups to ensure system compliance and maintainability. Identify required changes and communicate changes to development staff. Interface with Business Private Equity Accountants to: define scope, gather and document business requirements, develop functional design documents, recommend process improvements and system enhancements, test and manage deployment of system enhancements.

Also responsible for the following:
* Develop detailed project plans and monitor project results for significant deviations.
* Ensure adherence to project management standards and compliance to quality assurance policies.
* Manage the delivery of end user training. Lead training classes.
* Manage vendor and client relations to ensure that project expectations are met.
* Responsible for leading testing efforts (System and User Acceptance), including writing and execution of test plans/scripts, tracking and resolve test issues, post-implementation audits.

Business Skills: 

* Must have 5+ years experience working with banking and finance systems.
* Experience with Private Equity systems and Fund Partnership Accounting.
* Experience managing out-sourced or vendor based developments. Team player who can work on a global / virtual project team
* Ability to manage client expectations and communicate effectively with senior management.
* Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) - 2-3 years
* Strong experience in managing technical projects owning the design, planning, and implementation
* Familiarity with the following is a plus: Crystal Reports, SQL, .Net
* Solid experience with process documentation and MS office tools (e.g., Project, Word, Excel, Visio and MS PowerPoint)
* Experience in formal project methodology and documentation. Knowledge or CMM (Capability Maturity Model) and SDLC preferred
* Robust interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
* Self starter who takes ownership of projects. Organized and close attention to detail.

Senior Windows Developer

 

The purpose of this role is to develop and support global implementation of Sophis for equity derivatives desks within Capital Markets. This encompasses functions within Front Office, Risk Management, Finance Accounting, and Operations. The senior developer role architects solutions and provides technical leadership and mentoring to the junior members.  This person is responsible to successfully develop technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder requirements while demonstrating high levels of quality and productivity.

 

Technical Skills

·          5 - 8 years of development experience within Windows platform.

·          Proficient in VC++, C#, and .NET platform

·          Experience developing, maintaining, and deploying global enterprise quality Trading applications that encompasses Front to Back.

·          Excellent knowledge of object oriented languages and design patterns.

·          Solid knowledge of XML parsing, DTD and schema.

·          Solid knowledge of SQL and database, with experience and   good understanding of database concepts (Sybase, Oracle and/or MS SQL).

·          Working knowledge of messaging systems (TIBCO RV, MQ) not a must but a nice to have

·          Must have a Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent

 

Business Knowledge

·          Understanding of equity derivatives.

·          Experience developing global technology systems within capital markets.

·          Understanding of some functions within Front Office, Risk Management, Finance Accounting, and Operations (not across all but specific areas).
