This position requires that the candidate remain abreast with the latest concepts and technologies with regard to training and possess expertise and experience in C#, C++, SQL, HTML, DHTML, ODBC Database, JavaScript, Windows application development using .NET Framework, and solid object oriented design experience in C++, Java, or C#. This person will be responsible for leading implementation and testing of software solutions on deadline, accepts the challenge of making crucial decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of new projects and implementing fixes to existing code
Coding automated unit tests and production code, integration testing, and other work that may be necessary to help the team achieve each sprint goal. Diagnosing and resolving defects in code. Lead and mentor less senior team members. Participation in all Scrum meetings including sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. Willingness to pitch in where necessary to help the team achieve its goal. This may require collaborating with others on design, development, testing, documentation and/or production support tasks. Providing input to the Software Architect for design of the system
Skills and Qualifications:
8-12 years of industry experience
Recent experience with C# and .NET (2 years minimum)
Combined 8+ years experience in Object Oriented development using C++, Java or C#.
Very strong skills in multithreading and multiprocessing.
Experience building high-volume, scalable applications (>3 mln page views/transactions per day)
5+ years experience designing and developing applications with any Relational Database. Good knowledge of SQL.
3+ years of Internet/Web application development
1+ year of XML and WebServices experience
Understanding and experience with HTTP, TCP/IP protocols
Strong communication skills. Ability to lead whiteboard sessions, create technical specifications and architecture, outline frameworks.
Ability to lead projects and mentor less senior team members
Knowledge of design patterns.
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
To enhance your candidacy, you should also have at least one:
Experience with development of applications in field of Internet Advertisement or Web Search
Experience developing applications for clustered environments
Experience with Message Queues (any)
Experience with test-driven development using a unit testing framework such as NUnit or JUnit.
Project Management Experience
Comfortable as a team member for multiple iterations on an Agile project or Scrum.
Experience with automated builds and deployment processes in Windows environment
