This is a multi-level role.
will undertake projects with both the Strategy and Capability teams as skills and workloads require. This role will work with the Director, Strategy & Capability to
• Ensure capacity & capabilities are in place to deliver Business Unit growth and Innovation plans
• Deliver ongoing productivity by optimizing the utilization of current manufacturing and logistics assets. Continuously optimize sourcing, run strategies and inventory plans.
• Identify losses occurring across supply chain functions. Identify and champion projects and processes to eliminate these losses
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to the development of a 3-5 year Production/Distribution network strategy including locations, size and capability of each facility and mix of internal and external manufacturing .
2. Manage evaluation and approval process for capacity, retrofit and major productivity projects. Contribute to developing the business case and Capital Appropriations Request and present projects for approval to Supply Chain Leadership.
3. Advise Supply Chain Leadership and BU innovation teams on supply chain capability and impact of growth initiatives. Influence growth initiatives to deliver news efficiently and cost effectively.
4. Optimize capacity and sourcing dynamically based on changes in cost, TE, demand, capacity, raw material sourcing.
5. Drive the use of consistent tools and processes across supply chain, enabling all supply chain functions to optimize results.
6. Provide leadership and business expertise to the center-run modeling organization so that appropriate value-added scenarios are studied and critical information is accurately reflected. Advise and coach the modeling team on related projects.
7. Working with Sr. Manager, Capability, deliver loss analysis identifying losses due to lack of synchronization and a mobilization plan to eliminate them. Accountable for the proper execution of these plans.
8. Identify, develop and initiate future supply chain capabilities.
9. Maintain knowledge of key competitors’ supply chain and external industry development in order to identify opportunities to drive improvement.
5 – 7 yrs in SC/Operations Research
– Advanced degree in Bus, Ops Mgmt, Logistics preferred
– Functional knowledge in use of optimization models, inventory strategy, capacity management and financial planning and project evaluation
– Expertise across technologies (Hot Fill, juice manufacturing & packaging, extrusion, milling) and supply chain functions
– Ability to challenge the status quo and champion new ideas throughout the organization, inspire confidence and trust with peers and Sr. Leadership
– Can leverage broad supply chain functional expertise to solve broader business issues
– Ability to coach and develop others, can effectively empower and delegate across various projects and business units
– Strong financial and analytical skills
