Description: - Manage the successful delivery and integration of either the global insurance or global claims solution, to meet the requirements of the business case and business objectives set at outset. Work under the direction of the shared objectives program to ensure successful delivery of wider business outcomes required through the program, and ensure delivery is managed in accordance with standard methodology. 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

- Single point of responsibility for delivering one or more projects within a program, as assigned, working closely with Program Manager, Business Sponsor, Business Partners and project team to ensure the successful delivery. 

- Ensure that the solution delivered meets the business requirements, strategic objectives and key success factors defined at the outset; and that the business case can be delivered. 

- Ensure any implementations are aligned with and supportive of strategic architecture policy, principles and roadmap, and effectively integrated within the Organization environment. 

- Establish and manage the governance framework for the project, ensuring the Steering Group is able to make timely and effective decisions. Recognize and support the governance process for the program, taking direction where necessary to secure delivery of wider program goals. 

- Ensure work streams within the project understand requirements and expectations, proceed to plan and that any internal / external dependencies and inter-project dependencies are fully identified and managed. 



Specific project management responsibilities will include: 

- Developing the project strategy scope and plan for delivery. 

- Defining the business case ensuring identification of the expected business benefits, a plan for their realization and that the business case is reviewed at key points in the project lifecycle. 

- Managing risks, issues and dependencies with other projects proactively. 

- Developing the project budget; and managing delivery within this budget. 

- Tracking and ensuing project delivery, providing updates and communications to appropriate internal groups. Take appropriate steps to resolve any issues affecting or threatening delivery. 

- Identifying resources required to deliver the project; develop resourcing strategy in consultation with resource managers and program managers, and ensure alignment with budget. 

- Leading the team, and manage the work of individuals on the team, throughout the project lifecycle. 

- Ensuring business requirement is defined adequately to enable the project to be successfully delivered and that design of any changes to business process and organization are completed. 

- Managing all work-streams contributing to delivery, both technical and business process, ensuring work is integrated across work-streams where necessary. 

- Planning for and ensure appropriate change management (including but not limited to communications, testing, change acceptance, training) activities at appropriate stages of project. 

- Ensuring an appropriate data migration strategy is developed and agreed; and implementation including reconciliations form part of the delivery plan. 

- Where appropriate, ensuring effective engagement with third party suppliers and manage the procurement process as a component of the project and hand off to service delivery when appropriate. 

- Planning and managing engagement across the business and all stakeholders to ensure that scope is understood and that stakeholders take action when required. Build relationships at all levels and understand drivers of different stakeholders. Establish a communications plan; ensure effective communications are delivered throughout the project to all stakeholders. 

- Ensuring appropriate project documentation, Project Definition Report, Business Case, Benefits Realization Plan, Risk and Issue Logs, Status Reporting and Budget Management and Reporting is produced in a timely manner and provided to stakeholders and other parties. 





Education and Qualifications: 

- The role requires individuals of graduate / A-level caliber 

- The role requires individuals who will ideally have a recognized Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 



Knowledge and Skills: (including IT skills) 

Candidates will be able to demonstrate practical experience on the following: 

- Project management and delivery 

- Business case and project planning 

- Cost benefit analysis 

- Business process integration & process re-engineering; 

- Benefits realization 

- Experience in leading systems integration project 

- Experience in leading vendor partnerships and implementations 

- Experience in managing data migration 

- Experience in leading implementation of the selected vendor solution 

- Must be prepared to travel (base location maybe overseas) 

- Project administration 

- Solid Financial Services experience (ideally insurance experience) 

- Experience in delivering projects from inception to completion 

- Change management experience in depth 

- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, exercising discretion in dealing with people at all levels of the Company 

- Experience of large scale implementations of change projects to multiple locations, ideally with multi-disciplined work-streams 

- Experience of leading projects with multi-disciplined work-streams 

- Ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of teams and functions including third party suppliers, establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group 

- The role would suit highly driven self-starters, with the ability to influence others and drive projects forward. 

- Strong working knowledge of standard PM tools and processes 

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines with a proactive approach to issue ownership / resolution 

- In depth experience of third party management and negotiation
