Lead C# Software Engineer NYC

Description:    Responsible for the design and development of a compliance system based on existing in-house content. Design and develop a data-driven web-site in support of a brand-able, client-specific compliance information and management system with related access from mobile devices. 

Work directly with compliance experts to build a scalable and maintainable system using modern web design and development techniques. 

The prospective candidate will benefit from experience developing data-driven web-sites and information management systems. This senior level position must leverage existing knowledge and expertise in the areas of information security, system design and coding best practices while adhering to functional requirements and our SDLC. 

Candidate Qualities 

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in progressively advanced hands-on software development and technology management roles. The position requires strong design and development skills including web-site, native application and mobile development experience. Strong written and verbal communications skills will be necessary to facilitate design discussions and documentation. 

Work in a self-directed environment where strong teamwork, individual initiative and accountability are highly valued and expected. Personal flexibility and ability to work within a global footprint is a must. 

Essential Job Functions 

Leverage existing in-house compliance content and work directly with compliance experts to design and develop a dynamic, data-driven compliance management system. Select tools and technologies for implementation and update of the SDLC. 

Requirements 
· 7+ years ASP.NET, JavaScript, SOAP, XML, HTML/CSS experience 
· 5+ years Ajax development experience 
· 5+ years Visual Studio and C# .Net, design pattern driven object-oriented development experience 
· 5+ years SQL Server and/or Oracle development experience 
· 5+ years IIS, Apache Tomcat or other web server experience 

Desired 
· Familiarity with Subversion and JIRA 
· iOS and Android experience 

Education and Work Experience Required 

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology OR equivalent progressive work experience is required. The candidate must have experience representing a company and/or development organization both internally and externally in a consistent and professional manner

o Java concurrency patterns and practices
