Click Here to Apply Online This full-time position will primarily be responsible for setting the organization's Architectural Direction with regard to the firm's Platform and the Core products (Coordinated Network Procurement and Material Specification Management). Interacting with Senior management, customers, external IT organizations, Internal IT staff, Contract Staff and Product Management.
The position requires an innovative thought leader with the ability to analyze information on the product requirements and identify what technology can offer to deliver on the product needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
· Requires extensive experience balancing the evolution of existing Products, Platforms and systems while evaluating and migrating to new technologies for introduction over time and competitive advantages.
· Requires experience in a broad range of Information Technology disciplines with specialty in the area of enterprise-scale J2EE implementations
· Knowledge and experience architecting, designing and deploying enterprise-scale systems using agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes in concert with cross-functional teams.
· Strong understanding of UML, Rational product suite, SOA, Model Driven Architecture (MDA), common industry wide application frameworks, and integration techniques with various legacy systems.
· Strong knowledge of current architectural and design patterns, best practices and refactoring.
· Need to have strong understanding of how to provide the architectural qualities of maintainability, scalability, flexibility, performance, and agility.
· Proven ability to communicate complex strategies and systems to senior management.
· Excellent time management, project management, and flexibility skills are required to work in geographically dispersed team environment.
· In depth knowledge of Supply chain, complex supply networks, materials management, Multi-tier networks, Analysis, demand planning.
· Design complex systems at the component level.
· Make strategic technology choices, directly supervising the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components
· Conceptualize, launch, and drive business strategies, product strategies, and multi-year roadmaps.
· Influence and guide and act as a mentor to other Architects across the entire Intuit organization, across product lines.
· -Guide, mentor and coach a talented group of engineers and rely on their technical expertise in reaching decisions.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Expert knowledge of Web architecture and J2EE based technologies including open standards capabilities
· Strong technical background in Java, XML/SOAP, HTML, Oracle, Ajax, SQL, SQL Server, WebSphere/WebLogic, UNIX, Windows O/S.- Sun J2EE certifications (Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology a plus)
Team player, willing to work extra hours, including weekends, as needed
· BS Computer Science or equivalent related experience
Strong experience with object-oriented OOD software development methodologies and practices.
Design large scale systems in an environment involving PC based, Web based, and hosted service solutions.
Experience estimating capital, schedule, and human resource costs of proposed objectives.
Demonstrate seasoned judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business management.
