RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will perform a lead role in managing the implementation of our enterprise software solutions with client companies. CSE’s are critical in that they are the linchpin between the client and the company. They manage client relationships on an ongoing basis as well as facilitate continuous updates and installations for both major and minor releases. CSE’s are the point person for client projects and ongoing communication. It is imperative that a CSE balance functional communication, technical planning, and operational aspects of client relationship management.
• Must maintain complete control of project schedules, budgets and risk issues. CSE’s must have the ability to understand the application and business of client companies.
• Facilitate timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget, provide management with regular project updates, maintain trusting relationships, identify project risks early and assist by providing prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance. CSE’s may supervise and mentor junior staff for both project and career growth, and make staff development recommendations.
• Develops, maintains, and executes a wide range of moderately complex quality tests with full competency to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements based on their client’s business. The CSE conducts all forms of testing across a diverse suite of software products so that the highest quality products are developed.
The qualified applicant will have proven project-based experience with testing tools and processes and be able to:
• Create implementation plans including schedules, tasks lists, and functional roll out success plans.
• Learn the utilization of ERP Application and “best practices” of implementation of the ERP based on geography, industry or other criteria.
• Learn the utilization of QFSM, PM and other systems and “best practices” of these other systems.
• Translate of functional requirements into comprehensive tests.
• Take on primary ownership for testing of certain area(s) of a system with a project team to ensure requirements are met in the application.
• Provide estimates of testing effort based on requirements and solution information.
• Provide reports on the progress of software and test development and test execution, including requirements coverage and defect metrics to ensure that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved for implementation/conversion.
• Perform risk assessments, analysis of test results, consult with the development staff, and retest software corrections to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken to maintain quality standards for all information systems products.
• Create and maintain documentation for quality assurance procedures.
• Engage in multiple and simultaneous initiatives successfully.
• Work independently with developers to insure mutual understanding of application functions and concepts.
• Build and execute test scenarios and test cases.
• Track and resolve issues end-to-end.
• Design and report status.
• Automate test development (including incorporation of dynamic test data).
• Perform manual and automated testing of software functionality, installation, and usability.
• Lead load and performance testing.
• Design and implement bug management and error tracking.
• Design and implement test report documentation.
• Coordinate and prioritize testing activities.
• Work with multiple development teams and software projects.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Apply working knowledge of software quality concepts within the software development lifecycle.
• Apply knowledge of systems analysis.
• Apply skill using test tools for project area for which you are responsible.
• Apply basic knowledge of end user to evaluate usability of applications.
• Apply in-depth working understanding of standards and methods to comply/enforce the standards in day to day tasking.
• Execute complex test cases/scripts and interprets/analyzes results to report, communicate, and work through issues with software engineers.
• Interpret product design and requirements to engineer test approach and generates test plans and test cases/scripts.
• Apply working understanding of the inter-workings of a section or component of the application code under test.
• Assist with project management of Pilot projects with prospective clients.
• Must be able to travel.
• Bilingual skills are required. (English / Spanish or English / Danish or English / French or English / Portuguese or English / Italian or English / Mandarin).
• Other duties assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience with leading ERP implementations or similar enterprise software implementations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance and release/build experience.
Technology Experience:
· Microsoft Windows client and server systems.
· In-depth knowledge of Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
· Linux server systems (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat, etc.).
· DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and other core network protocols.
· VMware vSphere virtualization solutions.
· AS/400 iSeries experience a plus.
