Network security engineers are responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the company's network, Microsoft Active Directory, and Unix security infrastructure. It is essential that candidates have: a bachelor's degree in computer science from a top university, 4 or more years of hands-on experience in network and information security; and a detailed understanding of network protocols, operating systems, cryptography, and security administration. Experience with mission-critical firewalls, proxies, IPSec, Kerberos, and 802.1x is highly desirable. The candidate must also be able to propose and implement new infrastructure as well as debug and diagnose existing deployments. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in order to propose, implement and document security architecture and procedures is essential.

The candidate will head up an application team supporting an asset management business. The position has high visibility and client impact. The candidate will work directly with business and technology management and will lead a team of onshore and off-shore fixed income/interest rate derivatives application technologists. The project leader will be involved in all aspects of project development and will be hands-on.

The candidate will lead the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. S/he analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. S/he also ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation.


Experience as a Hands-On Project Leader
Experience in supporting Trading Systems, including Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures and Options, from a front/back office viewpoint
Strong customer service orientation and experience
Excellent communication and writing skills required. Strong ability to report to management.
Treasury systems support experience
Summit support experience a big plus
Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills required
College degree in business, finance or computer science
Experience in systems project life cycle is preferred, i.e., SDLC, CMM
Experience in Spreadsheets, NT and UNIX required
Experience leading others including offshore resources




Qualifications
Minimum 6-8 years experience required.

Must have extensive knowledge of company's total computing environment, including all key IT functions, interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans.

Must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.

Extensive experience with developing and supporting distributed applications required. Job holder must have broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.

his position reports to the Windows Group team Leader and assists staff in the Front and Back Office of a trading floor environment with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology. Responsibilities include: Workstation deployment and maintenance. Support of Market Data applications. Support of Microsoft Office applications. System administration. Manage backup tape rotation.
Log and track calls using helpdesk database. Responsible for maintaining hardware and software inventory.
EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree and 2+ years experience supporting Windows XP in a Trading Floor environment. Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware. Experience installing software, patches, and updates on workstations and laptops. Experience troubleshooting basic network, software and printing problems. Experience with Market Data Applications (Bloomberg, Reuters, other apps). Experience administering backup servers (Arcserve a plus). Experience managing users and computers through Active Directory.
SKILLS: Excellent customer service. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP. VB Scripting. Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
Some lifting of equipment (ex. PCs, Servers, etc.) and some overtime will be required (ex. after hours and weekends as necessary to fit business needs).
