Business Analyst - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $70K - $90K / Year

Core Responsibilities:- 
Ø Performing scoping and gap analyses 
Ø Analyzing and documenting business requirements 
Ø Producing detailed functional specifications 
Ø Creating detailed project plans 
Ø Managing ongoing communication and coordination between the business and IT 
Ø Maintaining all stakeholders engaged in the project and focused on delivery 
Ø Managing projects and running meetings with individuals of varying seniority and knowledge 
Ø Designing, performing, and managing testing 
Ø Designing, managing, and controlling the release into 'live' of new systems 


Candidate must have:- 

Ø A bachelor's degree or higher 
Ø 5 to 8 years' experience as a business analyst in financial services 
Ø Experience in MBS trading or fixed income 
Ø Excellent oral communication and people skills 
Ø Excellent writing and documentation skills 
Ø Familiarity with relational database concepts 

Desired but not essential are:- 

Ø Experience with designing and building n-tier software applications 
Ø Experience with trade capture systems and processes 
Ø Experience or familiarity with project management
