Project Description

Wealth Management Reporting is the consolidation of brokerage and individual brokerage management information. The project goal is to create a single view, consolidating multiple accounts and assets for the purpose of reporting data and performance accurately to our clients. The candidate must be able to manage multiple project initiatives aimed at achieving this goal.

The candidate must be a leader in Quality Assurance, providing clear testing scope and objectives for each initiative. The applicant must be able to meet challenging deadlines while implementing > "> best practices> "> throughout the development life cycle.

Responsibilities

This candidate will manage and execute a number of QC projects and potentially a team of 3-4 QC analysts responsible for the creation and execution of test plans for assigned projects to insure adherence to deadlines and firm> '> s best practices.

The individual must have strong leadership and project management experience; a mature, constructive approach to application testing, issue identification, problem resolution; and the ability to meet tight deadlines under changing business priorities. Specific QA/QC certification is a plus. (From PMI, QAI, IIST, or other organization)

Job responsibilities will include

* Oversight and guidance of QC projects with the following tasks:

o Act as QC Lead on multiple projects.

o Creation of test plans for assigned projects and applications.

o Develop test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and development standards for assigned projects/applications.

o Provide intelligent time estimates for test planning and execution to project managers.

o Maintain existing test plans and test cases based on code changes and enhancements to assigned applications.

o Perform system load/stress tests for selected applications.

o Track issues and work with project managers and developers to resolve.

o Create and send issue reports to project team and management during test cycles.

o Coordinate user acceptance testing, clearly identifying the responsibilities of IT vs. the business and any gaps.

o Develop and maintain quality metrics, pre and post production

Participate in project health checks.

* Assist with stage environment setup for all projects and insure all necessary and appropriate access is in place for each team member on projects and investigate all related issues.

* Enforce use of group standard test document templates and methodology

* Incorporate automated testing tools to support the testing process

* Resource allocation, performance review and career development of staff

* Potential night and weekend work required

Required Experience

* 5-10 years overall information technology experience with five plus years in the financial industry, preferably with a minimum of 3-4 years in capital markets with respect to any or all of the following applications: Asset / Wealth Management, trust, hedge funds, performance reporting

* 3+ years managing a staff of 3 or more with the ability to develop individuals

* Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects

* Experience in full life-cycle project management.

* Excellent analytical and communication skills including ability to facilitate and lead large meetings.

* Strong technical background including automated testing tools, Mercury QuickTest Pro & Mercury Quality Center preferred.

* Familiarity / test experience with VB, ASP, .NET, Java, JSP.

Job Description:	(1) QA Automation Testers Contract-to-Perm @ $50 – 60/hr. to Contractor Perm $80-90K Maybe more plus bonus We are currently looking for senior tester/analyst with experience in a financial domain, preferably in Investment management, to support the automated and manual testing process for Fixed Income trading applications. Quality Assurance Lead
Overall Experience: 10+ Yrs.
Position Description: This position is part management, part hands on QA work. QA Leads with Business Analysis backgrounds is a plus. At least 20% of the time will include project planning, estimation, project processes, offshore vendor management, etc.
The remaining time the person will create test cases, review test cases, identify - critical test cases in consultation with business,
execute sample test cases, create/review automated tests etc.

S/he needs fairly good automation experience. They will have to create data driven scripts. Application is creation/management of
Indices (e.g S&P 500). Browser based application.

The candidate must have Java and SQL programming languages

There is a chance for extension past 6 months

Position:
- Demonstrates knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices,
processes, and software testing tools.
- Has understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (RUP
preferred), quality assurance concepts, and manual and automated
testing and regression techniques.
- Has specialized product or technical (tools) knowledge including
Mercury tools (LoadRunner, QTP, Quality Center), SQL, and some
programming languages.
- Has experience of regular use of Oracle Relational Database
Management Systems, spreadsheets, script language, Internet concepts
and languages, java technologies, and GUI-based software testing
tools.

Must be detail-oriented with solid written and verbal communication
skills. Has the ability to work well in a team environment, including
the ability to work with business users to understand their
requirements, and group facilitation skills. Strong preference for
experience working with offshore vendors.
