Systems Architect Military Communication Subsystems
Description:
Architect Military Communications Systems from initial concepts through execution and delivery with focus on tactical voice and data communications integration into larger networks. This position will;
Include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, schedule, and risk analysis for the total system.
Performance of detailed analysis at all levels of the system, including: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensure the conversion of customer requirements, including informal requirements, into total systems solutions that balance the technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Perform the functional analysis, scheduling, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and technical interface definition to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications for sub system teams.
Work directly with customers, sales team, program management, and product engineering teams.

Be highly motivated, a self starter, and be able to operate with little supervision in diverse environments
Qualifications:

BSEE/BSCE and 5+ years of experience or Masters Degree and 3+ years of experience.
Understanding of Radio communications infrastructure and systems.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this position include;
Cost and Risk analysis
Proposal generation
System design using customer hardware and software specifications.
System program management including direct customer interaction will be required during system design, build and verification phases.

Experience
This position requires
Proficiency in IP, Wireless, and standard
Military Tactical Radio System Architectures (HF, VHF, UHF, Satcom)
Networking - Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, PPP), IPSec, QoS, Wireless (802.11, 802.16)
Computer communication interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485)
Communications standards (ATM, Frame Relay, T1/E1)

Job Description:
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development.
Requires the application of the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Consults with electrical or mechanical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system.

Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
Familiarity with C programming language is required.
Responsible for the design and development of embedded software for tactical radio products.
Responsible for all phases of the product development including requirement identification, design, test and product support.

Will maintain existing software baseline as well as add new features to the product. Firmware includes both general purpose processors as well as DSP firmware.

Qualifications:
� BSCE or BSEE with 9+ years minimum experience is required.
� MSCE or MSEE 7+ years experience is desirable.

Experience:
� Experience in firmware development on embedded processors and DSPs is required.
� Experience with software development process is desired.
� Experience with C++ and object-oriented design is desired.

Candidate Must Have :
* BSCE or BSEE; (MSCE or MSEE 7+ years experience is desirable)
* 9+ years minimum experience is required.
